Dream
How fervently I desire
To touch the star
And steal
A gram of its silver
To mingle in my blood.
I want to give birth
To a heavenly child
Who is to be embedded in me
A child of far-off shores
Of dark starry night.
I want it to touch me
Like the sun’s first rays
Kiss the surface of the earth
That pours golden heat
Into those secret seeds
Buried
Hurried to sprout.
I want to hear songs
Of magnificent germination
Yet unsung
Within this womb.
For me it would bring
Sleep by the eyeful
Dreams endless
And death
Studded with pride.
